NILD Educational Therapy
This therapy program targets children aged 6 -18 years old. Sessions are 80 minutes in length with a frequency of two times per week.
The sessions include a variety of techniques designed to address students’ specific areas of difficulty and to improve their overall ability to think, reason and process information.
NILD Educational Therapy is UNIQUE because it takes into account perceptual factors, such as visual and auditory processing, sequencing and discrimination , spatial/temporal and motor skills.
Typically, an area of weakness in these cognitive areas can often mean they have difficulty in reading, writing and spelling, this can translate into dyslexia, dysgraphia , dyspraxia . dyscalculia and executive dysfunction.
At Kinnected Learning, we also work with children with ADHD or children who need improving in executive function . We provide specific skills and strategies that lead to better organisation, planning and time management .
We believe in giving every child the chance to succeed in school by teaching them HOW to learn!
WJIV Educational Assessments
WJIV is a comprehensive core academic assessment that evaluates learning problems, prescribes individualized intervention and measures progress for children aged from 4+
Taking the WJIV achievement test is the first step in understanding your child’s academic ability in reading, writing, oral language listening skills and memory .
WJIV gives reliable and accurate in-depth results to identify specific abilities or disabilities and acquiring the most relavent information for educatonal and vocational planning. Sometimes the results can also give an indication of whether your child is gifted or point in the direction of a learning disability.
Administering the test ( standard and extended batteries) can typically take 2.5-3.5hrs ( depending on the child.) The child may take the test in one sitting, or split over 2 sessions .
A comprehensive report will be given with an easy to understand breakdown , identifying your child’s strengths and weaknesses in learning.
WJIV reports provide invaluable information for parents , teachers and therapists to understand the child’s progress and what needs to be done in order to improve their core academia.
TARGET– Executive Function Programme
Through experience and observations , I have found that many students have problems in Executive Function. These children do not respond to general methods of teaching. Anxious, disorganised and a feeling of hopelessness looms .
I have created a special programme called TARGET – an interactive and interesting intervention programme that specifically targets executive functions skills. This programme has extensive information, and more importantly , STRATEGIES to help your child SUCCEED in LEARNING and in LIFE .
Some of the essential areas that are covered in this programme include :

I will cover each of these topics weekly and show you HOW to integrate them into your life. Each programme will be tailor made and will last for a duration of 8 to 12 weeks , depending on the age of your child. These LIFE skills are NOT TAUGHT in school . Hugely beneficial for EVERY student out there.
